Our tour began Friday night, June 1, with a preview fireside for our friends and loved ones at home. After making sure every note, vowel, and consonant was in the right place, we went home and set our alarms for a 6:30 a.m. rendezvous at American Heritage School.
California, here we come!
Playing travel games, sharing laughs, and making memories, we watched the red rocks of southern Utah speed past our windows, then the mesas of Arizona and the scrub of Nevada, until finally we found ourselves looking out on the cactuses and palm trees of Southern California, land of milk and honey.
